Bently Reserve Wedding | Monica & Robert

A wedding is an emotional time, not only for the couple but also for their close friends and family, like this Bently Reserve wedding.

This was the first time we’ve been to this venue. When we received Monica & Rob’s wedding inquiry, we searched for Bently Reserve wedding and immediately fell in love with it. Knowing that Bently Reserve is an indoor venue with low light, this would be a big challenge for natural light wedding photography, we planned to go strong on flash occasionally. Together with the up-lighting set up around the hall and the color-changeable light the venue has, we turned the challenge into our advantage to achieve the dramatic look with red glowing ambiance for this Bently Reserve wedding.

Monica & Robert planned their wedding as a perfect dual. At our first meeting with them, knowing their draft schedule, I suggested First Look in order to get more photos done before the ceremony. While Monica wanted to do that, Robert wanted to save it for the ceremony. So, I suggested the First Touch. It is common that I’ve seen couples who wanted different things. They usually take time to think and discuss before having the final decision. But for Monica & Rob, it didn’t take them more than a conversation to decide what they wanted. Personally, we thought Rob would like to do First Look too, but he didn’t want to break that beautiful moment of the ceremony. Thus, they reached the decision easily: to do the First Touch. Monica & Rob wasn’t our first couples who did First Touch. We know that a First Touch has a stronger impact on the couple than a First Look does. It creates a mixed feeling, the happiness to hold hands, the desire to see each other and the determination not to do so. Indeed, we saw their mix feeling and reaction during the sweet First Touch: the laughs and cries, the moments of silence.

They said during our first meeting that every person they invited to the wedding is special to them. Yes, they are. Whoever did the speech brought so much memory and love they had. The speeches were genuine, touching and hilarious at the same time. There were so many beautiful reactions and moments that we captured.

“Leo’s talent is unparalleled! Leo’s very unique style and creative edge made for the most magical wedding photos. It was incredible to see the attention to detail captured in every picture. Leo and his wife, Kelly, are the sweetest, most delightful people to work with and made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. This team of photographers is my favorite vendor of our wedding and I’ll be making any excuse to hire them again!”
