This is the first time we shoot at Saratoga Country Club wedding. The iconic iron dome gazebo of this venue is interesting and we got a cool idea we wanted to try during sunset. Without April & Howard’s patience, we wouldn’t have the chance for it. They listened to us, briefly left the fun on the dance floor for the sunset shot. And the result was worth the effort.
When we met April & Howard, we remember that Howard was the one who did most of the “interview”. He knows about photography and asked us really good questions that challenged our thinking. April, on the other hand, was a little shy and quiet. We knew we must do something on the wedding day to pull her out of the shyness because she got a beautiful smile and it must be captured that way. This was quite challenging since we didn’t have the chance to do their engagement photos, didn’t have the opportunity to build a connection with them before their wedding. But we tried to take care for her with every small detail, making her feel comfortable with the cameras.
Seeing them enjoy the moments, laugh with their friends, cry the happy tears were what we wanted to document at their wedding.
